Run a DTC Search and Read the Result

The DTC Search tool lets you look up a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) for your vehicle. You get the meaning of the code, its likely causes, and the steps to diagnose and repair it.

Step 1: Open the DTC Search tab

On the Repair home screen, tap the DTC Search tab. The DTC Code Lookup box opens.

Step 2: Select your vehicle and enter the code

  1. Select the OEM (for example, Tata).
  2. Select the Model.
  3. Select the Year.
  4. Type the code in the DTC Code field (for example, P0335-2A).

Step 3: Agree to the policy and analyze

  1. Tick the box I agree to Fixomotive Privacy & Data Policy.
  2. Tap Analyze DTC.

Step 4: Read the result

The result page shows the code and the fault title at the top, then the details in this order:

  • DTC Information — what the code means.
  • Symptoms / Fault Effects — what the driver or vehicle may show.
  • Possible Causes — the likely reasons for the fault.
  • Diagnostic Steps — how to check and confirm the fault.
  • Repair Steps — how to fix it.

Step 5: Change the language (optional)

You can read the result in your own language. Use the language selector on the result page to switch the language.

Step 6: Set the exact variant (optional)

On the right, the Select Vehicle Configuration panel lets you set the exact Model, Year, and Engine / Variant. Tap Configure to refine the result for your exact vehicle. You can also tap Explore Modules to see related modules.


Under Related Components, tap any component to open its full detail page. There you can see its pin configuration, DTC codes, wiring diagrams, pinouts, and component checks. Learn how to look up a component
